Today, the temperature was 36 degrees outside in Jacksonville Florida. I know to some that temperature settles good to you in your heart but for most .. umm that’s cold weather; A good thick coat and not a windbreaker, skull cap etc.. It’s the time your crank your car up and let it warm up etc. as I want to push my start button. I look up and there is little bird walking around on the slightly frozen grass and flying lowly on yard shrubs. Listen I think the little birdy was enjoying itself. I was bundled up turning on the seat and steering wheel warmer the Car Industry has soo spoiled us with ( I’m thankful) preparing to head to an appointment that brought a level of un-easement. I continued to observe the little birdy fly around seemingly looking like it was hoping for one tree to the grass and to the shrubs Having a Good Ole time for whatever reason, it should have been in its bird’s nest I was thinking. But as clear as day the scripture Matthew 6: 25 came to mind
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink: or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes vs 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Instantaneously the multiple thoughts that raced through my mind were disappearing one by one! How many times have you been reminded to not worry and or Be anxious for nothing ( Philippians 4:6) I know for me it’s more than once daily. It easy to react than to respond to that thing or person that trigger the emotions of anxiety/worry etc.. but I am so thankful for the reminder that comes when I least expect in this case looking at the little birdy enjoy itself in 36 degrees of coldness not worried about anything as Matthew 6 states… lesson from the birdy
Seize the moment the best way you can dance when you want to sit, Laugh when you want to cry, walk when you want to run away
Take a moment and look at the little birdy ‘ that is in front of you.
